Continuing my mission to provide my people lighter drinking options, I give you the “Skinny and Lactose Free” version of a Pina Colada. You may consider this a sin, because what is a Pina Colada without the cream, but remember, this section is for those thinking about that potential summer body.
The best thing about this cocktail is that it’s easy to make individually or creating a pitcher for a party. I’ll provide directions for both, because I’m sweet like that xoxo.
I keep a bottle of Iced Tea in the fridge whenever I need a light refreshment, and I never put too much sugar in the batch, in case I play around with a cocktail, and from there I can really control the balance of the sugar. That would be my suggestion, but of course, this is all about your taste preferences as well!
Skinny Pina
A low sugar, lactose free solution to a Pina Colada!
Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients
- 2 oz Light Rum
- 2 oz Coconut Water
- 1 oz Pineapple Juice preferably fresh but can is fine
- 3 oz Teavana’s Pina Colada Iced Tea
- 3 Lemon Wheels
Instructions
Place ice into your glass, having layered the lemon
Pour Rum, coconut water and pineapple
Top with Iced Tea
Recipe Notes
The Iced Tea measures will depend on the glassware used, but you should aim in the 2-3oz range. If not, adjust the alcohol and juices so that it's balanced. Aim to use a tall collins glass or even a funky (Tulip) glass.
