Today I’m celebrating the most important people in my life with this unique #PridePour using the Porthole Infuser. In honour of both my best friend and my mother’s birthday, I’ve created this Rainbow inspired Porthole Infused cocktail that I know they’d love (so I’m sure you will too!)
There’s a handful of people that are my ride or die, no matter their race, who they love or don’t love, that has never impacted my love for them. Of those closest to me, my best friend and my mom share the same birthday. Now why did I decided to create a #PridePour cocktail in their honour? Well, because I don’t share enough of my PRIDE and support for my best friend and brother, who have been living a life of PRIDE for a majority of their lives. This cocktail represents my mom as well, as she has been incredible at understanding and seeing the best in everyone. If you’ve watched any of my LIVE demo’s with my mom, you can get that energy from her the second you see her. I’ve been lucky to have them as such incredible role models in my life and I’m honoured to create something for them here.
So it was time to bring out the Porthole Infuser. Had to go all out with these two, and I wanted to use a rainbow of fruits and produce! The spirit itself, combines some delicious tequila that I know these two will love. Ready to learn how to make it? See the recipe below!
#PridePour Infusion
Using a Porthole Infuser, I've created the ultimate pride cocktail, dedicated to some of my favourite people.
Difficulty: Intermediate
Ingredients
Cocktail Base
- 3 oz Tequila Ochos Anejo
- 2 oz Verjus Featherstone used here
- 3/4 oz Chinato Cocchi
- 1/2 oz Dry Vermouth Dolins used here
- 6 dashes Peychaud Bitters
- 1 oz Simple Syrup
- 4 oz Filtered Water
Dry Ingredients for Porthole
- 2 Strawberries Thinly Sliced
- 1 Orange Wheel Sliced in half
- 2 Lemon Wheels
- 3 sprigs Mint Lightly pressed before placing into Porthole to release the oils
- 8 Blueberries Halved
- 1/2 tsp Lavender
- 4 Green Cardamom Pods
Instructions
Stir all the ingredients in the cocktail base into a bowl or spouted container. Place into fridge and let this chill before putting together your cocktail
Once you're ready to assemble your porthole infuser, place your dry ingredients into the porthole infuser in a lovely arrangement. Make sure it's secure before pouring in the chilled cocktail.
Pour the cocktail base through spouted top and let this sit in the 5 minutes before serving.
Recipe Notes
It’s best to pour little bits at a time in a glass with this cocktail. The more you give it time to infuse, the more it will extract the flavours and develop.
