Leaving you with a refreshing summer time spritz that will take you no time to whip up at home. Using some of my FAVOURITE spirits, that are a constant and forever on my bar including RinQuinQuin (Peach Aperitif), Cocchi Americano and some delicious sparkling. The Sparkling I’m using is Mionetto Prosecco which is fairly easy to find in your local liquor store. Cheers to this Peach and Grapefruit Spritz!
What do you do if you don’t have RinQuinQuin?
Won’t lie, this sounds pretty heartbreaking, because you likely don’t realize the DELICIOUSNESS of this aperitif. It’s Wine-based, not too sweet, while being a peach bomb in your mouth. If you can’t seem to find it, I would go for a Peach Schnapps, but half the ratio with the other half mixed with vermouth or Lillet Blanc. That will give you something SIMILAR, but definitely not the same.
What do you do if you don’t have Cocchi Americano?
Shame. So much Shame! I’m kidding. I know for my people in Ontario this isn’t always easy to find. I would pick up a Spanish Dry Vermouth in that instance, and add a dash of Angostura Bitters to help. Again, this is one of those that it hard to replicate in flavour. So if you can, grab a bottle. As a side note, make sure that once you open up Cocchi Americano or ANY VERMOUTHS, it needs to go to a fridge. Yup that’s right. Don’t leave it out. It’s technically a wine, so it will oxidize and start to have a funny flavour after 2 weeks.
