I like to think that I’m adventurous (with drinking), and worldly (there’s so many spirits to try!), but then I’ll get hit with a classic that I had no idea about. This was the case when I sipped my first Hot Buttered Rum, and I’m ashamed to say that this was only a few weeks ago. Luckily, I can trust the team at Miss Things Bar in Toronto to give me an authentic and tasty rendition and it didn’t disappoint.
About a week ago I quickly realized that it was going to be ‘National Hot Buttered Rum’ Day, AND it landed on a wednesday. With that said, I knew what I had to do. I had to celebrate this classic with the LC influence, which we all know on wednesday is inspired by the beloved peach. Hump day is about to get all hot and sweaty with this classic. So grab your kettle, and get started!
