Mason Jar Whiskey Elderflower Lemonade

I’ve long loved using a Mason Jar for mixing cocktails. It’s versatile, accessible, affordable (especially if you’re just starting to dive into the home bartending world) and easy to use! This Whiskey Elderflower Lemonade is approachable and will surprise the masses. Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Yellowstone Bourbon
  • 2 oz PC Lemonade
  • 1/3 oz Prosyro Elderflower Syrup
  • 1 Lemon Wheel

Instructions

  1. In your Mason Jar, add all your ingredients, plus ice and give it a shake. Remove lid and enjoy.

Batched Summer Melon Negroni

The approach I’m going for with this Summer Melon Negroni is that it’s bright, refreshing and using delicious Summer Melons we love. This is a “white” style negroni as I switch Campari for Sherry for the Bitter-Funk component, as well as using Cocchi Americano which acts as a very Dry style Vermouth that uses a ton of botanicals and flavours.

I share in the recipe below how to create a batched sized version of this that’s easy to build at home. Simply store in the fridge and when you’re ready to enjoy, pour it over 1 large ice cube.

Melon Summer Negroni

A refreshing, summery Negroni that combines Dillon's Melon Gin, Cocchi Americano and Sherry.

Ingredients

  • 1.25 oz Dillon’s Melon Gin
  • 1 oz Lustau Amontillado Sherry
  • 0.75 oz Cocchi Americano
  • 0.25 oz Water
  • 1 Melon Wedge approximately ¼ cup
  • 1 Orange Peel little white pit as possible
  • 1 Lemon Peel little white pit as possible

Instructions

  1. In a mixing glass or mason jar, add in all your ingredients. Store into fridge. Enjoy the next day. Serve over ice (preferably 1 large ice cube).

Recipe Notes

To build a batch of this Negroni that serves 10 cocktails, combine 1.5 cups Gin, 1.25 cups Sherry, 1 cup Cocchi Americano, 0.25 cup Water with 1/4 to Half a Honeydew Melon (depending on size, you want to fill up the pitcher with a lot to infuse), roughly chopped, 1 whole orange peel and 1 whole lemon peel inside a pitcher. Don’t let it infuse for more than 24 hrs. Strain and store into reusable bottle and serve individually over single large ice cube.

Peach and Cinnamon Beer Spritz

This is my approach to a laid-back twist on the Aperitivo Spritz we all know and love. Instead of having to carry a bottle of Aperol or Apertivo, plus Sparkling Wine, PLUS soda, I scrap all of that and I share a recipe that just uses two ingredients; Peach Radler and Fireball Whisky. Peach and Cinnamon come together in this unlikely and delicious flavour duo, and they conveniently come in small packages that makes it for perfect camping cocktails.

If you’re looking for even more Spritz ideas outside of the traditional Aperol Spritz, I have a library of options available for you HERE!
