To honour the 12 Days of Holiday Cheer on Liquid Culture, I’m starting off with sharing something truly special. The Amarula Canada team has partnered up with artists and creators this Holiday season to share the message of #AmarulaGives. Instead of paying the creators, Amarula is donating $1,500 to the charity of the creators choice! I’ll be sharing my organization I want to contribute to, plus the delicious Irish Whiskey and Amarula Cocktail I put together on my Instagram page!
I’m honoured to be a part of this campaign, and I’m sharing a special recipe here for you to enjoy, plus a link to the organization I chose; Not 9 to 5. This organization is all about advocating the mental health in the hospitality sector, an industry that holds a very special place in my heart. I wouldn’t be where I am without it.

Ubuntu Cheer
A special cocktail creation in honour of the #AmarulaGives campaign, made with Irish Whiskey, Fino Sherry, Chocolate, Nutmeg and of course, Amarula Plant Based Liqueur!
– Difficulty: Intermediate
Ingredients
- 1.25 oz Irish Whiskey The Sexton used here
- 0.75 oz Fino Sherry
- 0.5 oz Amarula Plant Based Liqueur
- 1 barspoon Chocolate Liqueur
- Freshly Grated Nutmeg Garnish
- 1 Dehydrated Orange Wheel Garnish
Instructions
Add all your ingredients (except garnishes) into a shaker with a handful of ice. Short shake.
Strain over crushed ice and top with nutmeg and orange wheel.
