For this week’s #DrinkYourGram, I asked my community what they needed to clear out on their home bar, and plenty of Amaro’s came up. Of that list included Amaro Montenegro that I’ve been itching to open up again. See how Tequila and Amaro become best friends with this delicious spin on a Bramble.
The basic structure of a Bramble includes Blackberry, Gin and Citrus, with a drizzle of Creme de Mure. Well, I almost don’t want to call this a Bramble anymore, because there’s no gin or Creme de Mure. Instead I whipped up something that was herbaceous and switching the base spirit to some Agave! I know I don’t mix with Amaro enough, because every time I mix with it, I fall back in love. It’s not too difficult to shake up either. Curious to know how? Check out the recipe below!
Only have Amaro Nonino at home? That’s okay. I would actually split the base than with this cocktail, combining 3/4 oz of Blanco Tequila with 3/4 oz Amaro Nonino. See how that works and adjust to your taste preference!
