I know I’ve only done two of these #DrinkYourGram, but I doubt I’ll ever see it be THIS close in a match up. This was an example of where your votes really did count (I’m kidding, not bashing on politics here). Needless to say, I decided to layer up a very refreshing, bright, tropical cocktail layering Shochu, a Citrus Sake in this somewhat Low-ish in Alcohol Tiki Cocktail. Check out below for the recipe and vote results!
Vote #1 – Brazil vs. Japan (52%)
Vote # 2 – Straight Up vs. Rocks on Rocks on Rocks (52%)
Vote #3 – Keep it to one spirit vs. Minimum 2+ (55%)
Vote #4 – Tropical Vibes vs. Classy AF (TIED!)
Because of the “Rocks on Rocks on Rocks”, it swayed my vote to Tropical Vibes. I can promise next week will set up in class.

– Difficulty: Intermediate

- 1.5 oz Kurokame Imo Sweet Potato Shochu
- 1/2 oz Citrus Sake
- 1/2 oz Creme de Banane Briottet
- 1/2 oz Coconut Syrup
- 1/4 oz Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
- 3 dashes Bittered Sling Lem Marrakech Citrus Spiced Bitters
Instructions

Recipe Notes
To make the Coconut Syrup it’s fairly simple. In a small saucepan, over med-high heat, bring 1 cup of coconut water and 2/3 cups granulated sugar to a boil. Once it boils and the sugar has dissolved, remove from the stove and let it cool before storing. Can last 2 weeks in the fridge!
